UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
If you are an undergraduate student who is looking for research experience, the SoCaP lab may be a good fit if you are interested in learning about endocrinology, primate cognition, and animal behavior. There are several ways to get involved in SoCaP lab and in your first few year you will be involved in coding behavior, wrangling data, and working in the wet lab. A few qualified students considering pursuing an honors thesis will get to conduct behavior and cognitive studies with the captive capuchins and in the wild in Costa Rica (funding not guaranteed). Students must be highly responsible, reliable, motivated, and dedicated to conducting high quality collaborative work. Good attention to detail, flexible schedules, and the ability to carefully follow directions (e.g. protocols for data collection) are also important.
If you are still interested, please fill out the form below and we will contact you when space opens up in the lab.
